Cash donations

Cash donations allow us to buy perishable items such as meat, dairy, eggs and fresh produce as well as other food that we may run out of. You can also register to make monthly or annual contributions. 
  • All donations made through CanadaHelps.org will go to support our food programs. Thank you for your support

IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN DONATING FOOD: To ensure the safety of those getting food from the food bank, Food Banks CANNOT accept expired food or products with dented/damaged packaging.


Grain Products

Choose items with whole grain as the first ingredient and look for products containing at least 2g of fibre per serving.  
  • Whole-grain cold breakfast cereals 
  • Oatmeal
  • Rice, brown, converted or parboiled
  • Whole-grain crackers
  • Pasta, whole wheat

Vegetables and Fruit

HEALTHY TIP: Choose fruit packed in 100% fruit juice or water with no added sugar.
  • Canned fruit
  • Applesauce
  • Fruit cups, individual 
  • 100% fruit juice, (plastic, canned, tetra pack)

HEALTHY TIP: Choose canned vegetables with vegetables or water as the first ingredient and look for “No Added Salt” or less than 360 mg sodium per serving.
